These certificates were printed on weak thin paper and this example has been fully backed with a clear, thin product. All of the text is present and visible including the back that has scrollwork and text within that reads, "FOR THE PUBLICK GOOD." The clasped hands emblem on the face includes the motto FIDES PUBLICA (public trust). Each note required six signatures, five of which are seen, Peter Bacot, Thomas Corbett, John Edwards, Gideon DuPont, Jr., and John Neufville.
