South Carolina June 1, 1775 £10 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20.
Every third party graded example of this note that we have ever offered had either an Apparent or a Net grade. That statistic stays true as this Apparent note has edge splits and damage. That is just a fact of life as these large format notes were damaged very easily due to their size and the nature of the paper. Nonetheless, this example sports the Hand Holding Sword vignette free of any impairments. The last example to cross our auction block was a PCGS Apparent VF 30 piece that realized $470 last September.
