Description

PCGS Gem New 65PPQ South Carolina Signed by Charles Pinckney, Jr.

    South Carolina April 10, 1778 2s 6d PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.
A tremendous gem colonial note no matter from what direction you view it. Ample margins are seen with an almost cameo printing effect noticed upon the bright, white paper. Notes from this series are seeing a revival with the last two we have sold a PCGS AU 55 realizing $423 and a PCGS Gem New 66 (no PPQ) bringing a robust $1,938.75. We expect that this 65PPQ note, with Pinckney's signature, to easily broach the four-figure threshold.
