South Carolina April 10, 1778 2s/6d Gem New. One of the nicest we have ever offered from this series and certainly the nicest example of this smallest denomination that we have sold. This Crossed Cornucopia design note is as perfect as one could possibly hope for as the margins are superb with flawless paper and exceptional eye appeal. If the bottom margin were a smidge wider this note would be as superb as imaginable. We very recently had an example of this denomination that was Choice New with a small border nick realize almost $750 and this beauty is far superior.Auction Info
