    South Carolina April 10, 1778 2 Shillings & 6 Pence-5 Shillings/3 Shillings & 9 Pence-10 Shillings Fr. SC-145-147/146-149. PCGS Choice About New 55.
From an interesting and attractive series of notes with unusual emblems, floral details, scrollwork, and flourishes. There are two different sheet arrays known from this issue. This outstanding example has wide margins all around and superb printing clarity. Each note is fully issued. The sheet has excellent paper originality and all the attributes of a "PPQ" example; it appears to be conservatively graded. When encountered, the sheet type is often toned. This vibrant example is worth a hefty premium.

Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman (softcover)
A powerful and intimidating dealer of the 1960s, backed by important colleagues, was accused of selling fraudulent gold coins and ingots to unsuspecting numismatists. Who would go up against a man like that and, over the course of decades, prove the fraud? Who would expose a widely respected scholar as a thief, then doggedly pursue recovery of coins that the scholar had stolen from an embarrassed numismatic organization, all over the objections of influential collectors who had bought coins with clouded titles? Eric P. Newman would - and did. Reserve your copy today.
