    Description

South Carolina March 6, 1776 £50 PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40.
A rare note we have not offered in almost five years and that last occasion was when this very example crossed our auction block at $1,150. A mere 3,700 notes of this elusive denomination were printed and both Newman and Friedberg only price it up through Fine. Tape repaired splits and tears were listed as the reasons for the Apparent grade. However, it still has earned the highest third party grade that we have been able to offer.
