DescriptionSouth Carolina February 8, 1779 $90 About New. A boldly printed, very well margined, bright example of this extremely popular Colonial note. The note was engraved by Thomas Coram, and it is signed on the back in small letters along the edge of Hercules's cape. This example is centered a drop high on the back with the very top of Hercules' head touched by the margin. The "Hercules Strangling a Lion" vignette on the back is beautifully centered and boldly printed. An overall spectacular piece of Colonial Currency.
