South Carolina February 8, 1779 $80 Choice About New. A simply wonderful example of that which is considered to be the rarest denomination of the Coram issue. The $80 note is assigned the highest value by both Newman and Friedberg. The note is separated from the Gem grade by a single light center fold. It's hugely margined all around and very well printed on both sides. There is a short split in the wide bottom margin, but it ends about 1/4" away from the frame line of the note itself. A wonderful combination of rarity and beauty.
