South Carolina December 23, 1776 Uncut Strip of Three Very Choice New. This strip has one each of the $2, $3, and $4 denominations. They are remainder notes, signed only by Dart and Wakefield, and are lacking serial numbers. These are rather common as individual pieces, but this is only the second multiple that we have handled of this issue. The bottom and left margins go all the way out to the deckled edge of the sheet. Flawless but for a meaningless hole far out in the selvage and some very minor age spots. A prize for some lucky collector of this colony's challenging issues.
