    Description

Rhode Island May 1786 6d PCGS Very Choice New 64.
From the John J. Ford Jr. Collection. Absolutely one of the prettiest examples we have ever seen from this available Rhode Island issue. There is a small area of translucence in the bottom left blank area that could be trimmed away if one chooses. Otherwise, it is a superb gem in every sense of the word with stunning print quality, radiant ink colors and mountainous embossing piled high. If you are waiting for this to slip through the cracks as a typical "64" note, you might want to reconsider your bidding strategy.
