    Description

Rhode Island July 2, 1780 Half Sheet of Eight PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
A letter-perfect example, with one each of the $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $7, $8, and $20 denominations. For those inclined to think in terms of cutting, the face-to-back centering is ideal, and eight high grade pieces can be taken from this sheet. The notes are numbered and signed by both Comstock and Harris on the face. The back remains unsigned. The colors, surfaces, and everything about this single pane are perfect. The assigned PMG grade of 66 EPQ seems conservative in the extreme as it leaves room for four degrees of higher quality which is simply impossible.
