    Description

    Pennsylvania October 1, 1755 10s PMG Fine 12 Net.
£10,000 in legal tender bills was authorized on June 28, 1755 to exchange for older bills no longer fit for circulation. 6,000 10s bills, utilizing Plate letters A and B, were printed for use as part of this emission. Printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall, the design features a coat of arms on the face and a botanical nature print on the back. Design features are not completely clear, but the signatures of Daniel Williams and Thomas Say are legible. PMG mentions a restoration (primarily related to strengthening the centerfold as well as a few spots around the edges.) Rare.
