Top-Pop at Both Services Combined by 25 PointsPennsylvania March 16, 1785 9d PCGS Choice About New 55.
We have sold quite a number of notes from this rare issue, but none either raw or graded above the VF level. The PCGS population report indicates that they have graded five with this 55 the highest and a 30 its closest competition. PMG has graded only two with the highest a 30. That makes this notes Top-Pop at both services combined by a whopping 25 points. The lower grade pieces bring very little money, but this is a whole different animal. Newman prices these at $2,000 in XF and $4,000 Uncirculated. Likely at this point a very realistic figure.
Estimate: $2,750 - up.
