    Description

    Pennsylvania March 10, 1769 2s PMG Very Good 10. These notes were issued to help provide relief and employment for the poor people of Philadelphia and were known as "Bettering House Money." Plate letter B is seen on this example. Stephen Collins, Luke Morris, and James Penrose were the signers of this note. Hall and Sellers were the printers. Although there is a small amount of paper loss at the margins, all of the text remains. Splits were mentioned by PMG.
