Scarce January 1, 1756 Benjamin Franklin NotePennsylvania January 1, 1756 20s PCGS Apparent Fine 15.
This issue was the first of several that were authorized to support expeditions by the military during the French and Indian War. Plate letter A is seen on this example that was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. The signatures are present, but have faded. PCGS gave it an Apparent grade due to splits and tears. The last two notes we sold from this issue was a 20 shilling in PCGS Apparent VF 30 for $998.75 and a 10 shilling in PCGS Apparent VG 8 for $258.50. This attractive piece should land right in the middle.
