    Description

    Pennsylvania January 1, 1756 10s PCGS Apparent Fine 12.
The session that ended November 3, 1755 authorized the issue of £55,000 in legal tender bills that were good until January 1, 1760. This issue was intended to support military operations during the French and Indian War and was to be redeemed from tax levy revenues. The 10s design features a rendition of the Pennsylvania coat of arms on the face and a botanical nature print on the back. The note has seen a fair amount of time in circulation with heavy quarter folds and edge fraying as well as some minor repairs.
