DescriptionPennsylvania April 20, 1781 5s PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25.
"A much scarcer later Pennsylvania series and a much scarcer denomination. We have only sold a single example in all of our sales of this 5 shilling note and that one note only appeared when we dispersed the massive Midnight Ride collection. PCGS notes some small rust stains which are basically seen on a couple of back corners." This was our description when we sold this same note for $381.88 in our 2014 Long Beach Auction. It remains one of only two that we have sold and it is still plenty scarce.
