    Description

Pennsylvania April 10, 1777 20s PCGS Very Fine 35. Nice margins are observed on this note. These notes were printed on watermarked paper with PENSYL on one line and VANIA below. This example was signed by Levi Budd and John Browne. John Dunlap received land in Philadelphia as payment for printing Congressional journals for five years. The land was not worth much initially, but it did rise significantly in value. In 1809 he sold a square that extended from Market to Chestnut street and from Eleventh to Twelfth and received more than $100,000. A few light stains are visible through the holder.
