    Highest PMG Graded Example

Pennsylvania May 1, 1760 £5 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ. An attractive, well printed and well signed red and black note that saw limited circulation, this is the nicest example we have seen. This note is the highest graded example by PMG to date, with the next highest example graded twenty points lower. The "Printed by B. FRANKLIN, and D. HALL." is bold and distinct and the nature print is quite attractive as well. Jonathan Evans, John Jervis, and Matt Drason were the signers of this £5 note, the highest denomination for this issue. Newman only lists these notes up to the XF grade and provides a value of $6000.
