Highest PMG Graded Pennsylvania 1760 £5

    Pennsylvania May 1, 1760 £5 PMG About Uncirculated 50.
A well printed note from the printing press of B. Franklin and D. Hall as evidenced by the bold imprint on the back. The £5 notes were the highest denomination from the issue. As of early February 2012, the PMG population report data indicates they have graded a total of nine examples, with this note having received the highest grade of the group. The signatures of Evan Morgan, Thomas Say, and Charles Jones all remain clearly visible on this plate letter B note. PMG's second highest graded example, a 45 EPQ, was sold by us in April 2010 for $4600. We expect this example to perform as well, if not better.
