Pennsylvania March 16, 1785 2s 6d PCGS Extremely Fine 40.Top Pop at PCGS. A pleasing example of this Commonwealth type that was printed by Francis Bailey. This is the denomination where the printer's name is misspelled "BAILLY." Boldly signed and with a trio of wide margins. The bottom shows a piece of the nine pence note below. The only two finer examples we have sold were both PMG graded and were sold in 2009. A PMG EF 45 EPQ that realized $1,035 and a PMG AU 53 that brought just under $1,500. An excellent note.
