    Description

Pennsylvania June 18, 1764 6d PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
A lovely, nicely margined example with embossing evident through the holder, this piece was signed by John Gibson, Jr. and his signature remains bold. PMG included the comment, "Great Embossing." This is the only example of this denomination that PMG has graded to date. The B. Franklin and D. Hall imprint on the back certainly adds to the appeal for collectors. The Newman reference lists a value of $4000 in Choice Uncirculated, with no higher grade listed.
