Pennsylvania June 18, 1764 3d PCGS Very Choice New 64.
Last April, we sold the Newman example of this same note graded PCGS 58 PPQ for $2585. That note was described "This is a popular Franklin and Hall series with high grade pence denomination bills, such as this example. This "C" position note, with the bold signature of Wharton has great margins. Strongly embossed, deeply inked and vibrantly appealing. A perfect example for a high quality Thirteen Colonies set." This currently offered piece is Very Choice New 64 and also from the "C" position. It is separated from the Newman piece by just 28 serial numbers.
