    Description

    Pennsylvania July 1, 1757 20s PMG Very Fine 25.
This Benjamin Franklin printed Pennsylvania Note carries the clear, bold signature of Charles Thomson, who was the Secretary of the Continental Congress. This July 1, 1757 issue is much scarcer than most of the surrounding dates. It is an attractive example with just a couple of splits in its center fold. These are rarely seen and the example from our Newman Collection sale, which was a PCGS VF 20 Apparent, realized just under $800.
