    North Carolina May 15, 1779 $10 Virtue Excels Riches PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25.
    A deceptively scarcer issue from which high quality notes are even scarcer. PCGS notes some repairs as well as splits and tears. Before this note, the last couple that we sold with this motto were a PCGS Apparent VF 35 for $182.13 and a PMG VF 30 Net for $305.50 back in 2013.
