    Description

North Carolina May 10, 1780 $50 Fundamentum Mihi Aere Perennius PCGS Extremely Fine 40.
There was only one $50 variety as part of the May 10, 1780 issue. "A Foundation for me more enduring than bronze" is the Newman translation of the Latin motto found on this example. The note is well margined and has nice eye appeal. The italicized XF 40 grade was assigned due to minor restorations and edge tears.
