DescriptionNorth Carolina March 9, 1754 30s PMG Good 6 Net.
Only 4000 of these North Carolina Colonial 30 shillings notes were printed. As frequently seen with NC notes from this time period, contemporary repairs were made in order to keep the note in circulation. In this case, the note was sewn to a backing with hand spun Colonial thread. That backing displays a number of endorsements. The upper right corner of the note is missing, but every word of the text is clear as are all four signatures. The house vignette is bold and attractive. According to the notation on the holder, the net grade was assigned due to the contemporary backing.
