    Description

North Carolina March 9, 1754 30s PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40. A meager 4000 of this denomination was printed for the 1754 issue. The printing is bold on this elusive example. The signatures of Lewis De Rosset, Sam. Swann, and John Starkey are readable, while John Swann's signature has faded almost completely. The label informs us of a repaired edge split at top center that was deftly executed. The Newman reference value these at $375, $750, and $1500 in Fine, VF, and XF.
