    North Carolina December, 1771 L5 PCGS Graded. A large wholesale group of these scarcest denomination from the 1771 issue. There are fourteen examples--all in red PCGS holders due to minor flaws, primarily repaired edge splits. All are decent grade pieces. Five grade Very Fine 20, three Very Fine 25, three Very Fine 30, one Very Fine 35, and two Extremely Fine 40. To our knowledge, this is the first time notes of this denomination have ever been offered in this quantity. Individually, these pieces would retail in the $350-$700 range. As a group, we would anticipate a realization of approximately $250 a piece. (Total: 14 notes)
