DescriptionNorth Carolina December, 1771 £5 Extremely Fine-About New.
This is an example of the scarcest denomination from the most common North Carolina issue as well as the highest denomination. The Cannon, Drum, and Flags vignette is clean and bold, and the note has excellent overall eye appeal with broad margins and no major impairments. All four signatures are seen with three faded, but readable. It has five endorsements on the back along with Joseph Montfort's signature who was the Treasurer of the Northern District of North Carolina.
