    Rust, a 3/4" tear at bottom center, denomination text as well as serial number information enhanced with contemporary pen and ink. A rare and difficult to find North Carolina type of the highest denomination from this motto series. Only 2,500 notes were authorized, which is the lowest print run for the entire 1778 issue.
