North Carolina April 4, 1748 6 Shillings Fleur de Lys Fr. NC-62 PCGS Very Good 10.
This six shillings note features an attractive Fleur de Lys emblem. PCGS noted "Splits, Tears, Damage, and Repairs; Pieces Missing; Backed." When cataloged and sold last year, PCGS had graded only this example, and PMG had graded two, with those examples in lower grades than this piece offered here. A rarely encountered early North Carolina numismatic type. Ex: our 2019 Long Beach Sale, lot 21242. The emblem and indent are sharply printed and intact.
    From The Mike Coltrane Collection.
