DescriptionNorth Carolina April 4, 1748 £3 Fine. There are a few random splits and a few pieces out of the edges, but the note has had far less circulation than most of these extremely early North Carolina notes that come to the market. This is one of the better examples we have seen of this high denomination with its fort vignette. Three of the four signatures are strong. As is usual for this colony, the back bears multiple endorsements and there are no repairs of any kind.
