    Description

North Carolina April 4, 1748 20s Very Fine. Previously sewn down the split center-fold, but with the blank back now repaired with restoration gauze. Very Fine is the net grade due to the repairs, but in most respects it grades XF with most original embossing remaining. All four signatures remain clearly legible, and the note is complete all the way around save for a tiny piece of blank area in the upper right corner. The unicorn vignette is razor sharp and totally problem free. An extraordinarily nice example of a note that is rarely seen above totally ragged condition.
