    Description

North Carolina April 4, 1748 20s Fine, damaged. In spite of extreme roughness and rounding of the edges and corners, every word of the text is clear and legible as is the unicorn vignette. The note has been hand sewn to a backing, and that backing is covered with endorsements from the 1740s and 1750s.
