    North Carolina April 4, 1748 15s PCGS Very Good 08.
    While the nine shillings notes from this issue feature a crowned lion vignette, the fifteen shillings examples display a rampant lion emblem. The reasons listed by PCGS for the italic VG 8 grade on this 270 year old note are splits, tears, damage, and repairs; pinholes.
