North Carolina April 4, 1748 15s Good-Very Good. Rare denomination from a very scarce series. We have only offered one other 15s note with the Rampant Lion design and that was all the way back in 2003. That note was graded Good and realized $230 but this one is definitely nicer. The 1748 series is very scarce to begin with and 99% of all examples are lower grade since these notes circulated freely and broke easily. Some tape repairs are noted on the back, but that should hardly affect the value of this piece. A redrawn word at center (pass'd) on the tape repair is also noticed.
