North Carolina April 23, 1761 Original Block of Four Extremely Fine. The only multiple that we can recall seeing of this issue. The block contains one of each of the 5s, 10s, 15s, and 20s notes. All four notes are fully signed and numbered. Interestingly, the three lower denomination notes are all serial number 1000, and the larger denominations are serial number 2000. Each note is mildly affected by a light fold and the 5s has a small hole, but each of the four notes is a rarity in its own right in this grade. All four notes have identical endorsements on the back that indicate they too place in at least one commercial transaction. A great item for the North Carolina specialist.
