    Description

    North Carolina April 23, 1761 4s PCGS Fine 12.
The Newman example we offered in November 2017 was described in part, "Most notes of this type were redeemed, making this very rare. There are only two others graded at PCGS." The PCGS tally has now increased to a total of 4. This note is superior to the Newman example in both grade and appearance. The italic grade resulted from splits, tears, repairs, and a missing piece at top center. All four signatures remain visible on this four shillings note.
