    Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $5 Triton PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35.
The triton design was one of only two varieties for the $5 denomination, with the other being a thrush. The note is well margined and the emblem displays good detail. All four signatures can still be seen. Edge splits and tears were cited as the reasons for the apparent grade.
