Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $2 Deer PCGS Apparent Fine 15.
We sold this note once before in February 2009 for $460 with the following description: "This $2 is the variety with a deer. Only 10,000 of these notes were printed. The text remains quite clear on this example. Although faded, three of the signatures are visible. Those signers were G. Hill, McCulloch, and J. Bradford. Tears at the margins and internal tears are observed along with some staining. Several repairs have been made, including a repair to a central split." Now graded by PCGS with the comments splits, damage, repairs, pieces added and redrawn.

    Estimate: $400 - up.
