DescriptionNorth Carolina April 2, 1776 $12 1/2 Eagle carrying broken arrows PCGS About New 50.
The nicest example of this note that has been in any of our auctions and the first time for us to offer it in any grade since September 2008 at Long Beach. All four signatures are bold on this beautifully margined unusual denomination. The vignette of an eagle, with broken arrows in its beak, is razor sharp. This design has the lowest printing of any of the 50-plus varieties from this 1776 issue. This specimen is serial number 352 of 3000 printed.
