Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/4 Monogram FB PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 45.
A boldly printed, almost fully margined example of this note from a series that has 56 varieties in all denominations, the most of any U.S. paper money issue. This example has a monogram "FB" in script letters in the lower left corner. Two strong signatures are present, that of William Haywood and J. Webb. It was given an Apparent grade due to some small edge nicks, splits and tears none of which detract from the design.
