    Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/2 Ship PMG Very Fine 30 Net. Well margined with both signatures remaining clearly visible, this lovely example has nice eye appeal. The signers were William Haywood and J. Webb. The notes were engraved by Gabriel Lewyn, a Baltimore goldsmith, on copper plates. There are eight varieties of the $1/2 denomination. This example has the ship vignette. Split repairs were cited by PMG as the reason for the net grade.
