    Description

    North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/2 Fine. This $1/2 is the variety with the hunter, dog, and target and includes the phrase "Hit or miss." This note is one of 56 varieties for this issue, the largest number of varieties for any American issue of paper money. There are tears at the margins along with an internal tear on this example. Prior to the current repair of the central split, the note was sewn based on the pattern of the holes. Several other repairs are observed as well. Only 12, 500 of these notes were printed. J. Webb was the signer on this example.
