    Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/2 Cock Fight PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
We have sold only three examples of this note, two of which carried a PCGS 35 Apparent grade. Those two realized $705 and $920. The vignette of the battling roosters is extremely clear and the note has a charming eye appeal that is frequently missing on pieces that are from this fascinating issue. Unusually well margined. The Apparent is for "restorations," but they are all extremely minor and do not effect the design.
