    North Carolina November 27, 1729 Counterfeit £5 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
    A boldly penned and attractive example of a contemporary counterfeit on this early North Carolina emission, this note has both the white paper-on-wax seal and the red wax seal on string intact. This is one of the most attractive examples your cataloger has seen. PCGS notes the normally expected splits, repairs, and minor stains, but this still will fit nicely into most colonial collections. Formerly part of the John J. Ford, Jr. collection.
