    Description

North Carolina November 27, 1729 £3 Contemporary Counterfeit PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
A very rare, early, wholly handwritten note that employs the use of a paper covered wax seal. Genuines of this issue are virtually never seen with the massive Boyd-Ford holdings containing only one example, a 40s. That series of sales had a Very Fine counterfeit of this same denomination that realized $1955. In spite of this note's Apparent grade for restorations and redrawing, we would suspect that the passing of eleven years and increased collector interest should make this note realize considerably more.
