    Description

North Carolina November 21, 1757 5 Pounds Fr. NC-94b PCGS Apparent Fine 15.
A second example of this rare typeset note with "Payment" not hyphenated. Though repaired, it has a bright appearance and is quite full all around. Noted by PCGS with: "Splits, Tears, and Damage; Repairs; Pieces Replaced; Design Redrawn." PCGS misattributed the note as NC-83 (commonly encountered). Ex: Lyn Knight, 2014 CPMX sale, lot 1591. Unimpaired, high-grade notes are impossible to find from this series.
    From The Mike Coltrane Collection.
