North Carolina May 28, 1757 £5 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25.
An extremely rare note that is listed as Very Rare in the new Friedberg book. This is a very well signed and boldly printed example that has a repaired center split and minor edge tears. The paper surfaces are solid and the eye appeal is astounding for this type. This is the subvariety that pays per Centum. We have only ever sold two examples of this rare issue: The Midnight Ride example graded PCGS Apparent 20 for $985 and another PMG Net 20 for $1265. In this day and age of rarity appreciation we would expect a real splash for this note.
